May Newsletter 2018!

10th May 2018

Hi everyone!

We hope you all enjoyed the wonderful weather over the bank holiday. We have quite a lot of information for you this month!

Important Information regarding the new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), which replaces the current Data Protection Act.

Further to the Note in our April Newsletter, the information that we hold for each of you is safely stored within our computer accounts system and is only used in connection with our business arrangements with you. This consists of your name, your trading name, addresses, phone numbers and e mail address. The only paper records we keep are Credit Application forms and your requests to be added to our Stockist List. These are all safely filed in a locked, secure cabinet. You have the right to request us to “delete” the information we hold about you but this would mean we could no longer trade with you or have any contact with you! We are anxious for that not to happen. If you no longer trade with us your records are securely destroyed. (Shredded). We obviously cannot destroy financial information within our accounting system in the computer. We do not sell your details to anyone. David Husbands is the Data Controller. You have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner if you believe we have contravened the new rules.
