Relief Knitting!

10th November 2017

Hi all!

Our new 4 ply Opal range Relief is now with us and will be released 13/11/2017. This unique new range allows you to experiment creating different 3D shapes as you knit e.g. waves, lines and spheres.

To help learn these new techniques, check out the videos below from Fishcer Wolle (Fisherman Wool) which are also on Opal’s website! For more info and physical patterns, here’s the Opal Link (there is an English pattern on there): http://sockenwolle.de/de/opal-strickwelt/strickanleitungen/

Note: As Opal and the original pattern are German these videos are also in German. However, it’s filmed close up, slowly and hopefully you’ll be able to see and grasp what is happening. Our in house knitters could understand it – but it’s maybe not for beginner level.

SQUARE (“Viereck”)

LINE (“Linie”)

TRIANGLE (“Dreieck”)

SPHERE (“Kugel”)
